Introduction to my Digital Artefact

I love cricket. Since I can remember it has been my obsession, and while the dream of playing professionally has worn off the passion for cricket writing lives on. The opportunity BCM114 presents to allow me to write freely about international cricket is a godsend. The challenge is to learn how to produce it in an effective way. But as a BCM student majoring in Journalism, this is a challenge that is worth taking on. I feel that an issue with cricket journalism is content not being available on enough mediums, and the quality of what content is available being quite poor when not produced by a major provider. I hope that by generating a base of articles that are spread through my blog, Twitter and something unique for cricket content like a Twitch stream, I can connect with a wide range of users and collect feedback as I go. In my writing style I will aim to be informative but not aloof, allowing for all readers to understand the material and providing links that assist their knowledge. This is something I’m willing to put my time into and present my love of the game through the content I produce.
